Life at ISU

As I said in my about me, I attend Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. At first I didn't know what I was getting into, because I have never lived on my own before and I was pretty scared that I thought of coming back home for school, but I realized that the only way to get started in life is to put my foot in the door and step in and that is what I did. Though, I do my miss my friends and family at home, I am extremely blessed to have my cousin and his wife, my Grandma and Grandpa, and finally my aunt and uncle that all live near me and are able to support me. The first few weeks were pretty rough because I did not get to make many friends, but slowly came out of my shell. I volunteered to become a sideline replay communicator during ISU home games for football. Now I can be able to talk to anyone in my classes, I made some new friends in my KNR 171 class that I have come to enjoy their company and caught up with some old friends. It also hit me that ISU has an amazing and gorgeous campus. It is truly a honor to be able attend this university. I can't wait to capture more pictures of this gorgeous campus!
